Durability, Warranty, & Application Surfaces
Application Instructions:
Work in small manageable areas.
- Shake the bottle thoroughly before use. The pigment settles and must be fully mixed before application.
- Using the microfiber applicator, apply a small amount of Plastic Black Ultra and work it into the surface. Apply enough to coat the area evenly without saturating it.
- Allow the product to penetrate for 5 to 10 minutes. Within that window, return to where you started and even out the surface with another light coating of the product. Wait an additional 5 minutes, then remove any excess product with a clean microfiber towel.
- For extremely faded trim requiring multiple coats, allow each application to cure for at least 12 to 24 hours before recoating.
Note: Heavily oxidized or deeply faded plastics may require additional product or more than one application to achieve full restoration.
After the final wipe, inspect all panels carefully for remaining residue or high spots. Pay close attention to edges, emblems, and tight areas where product can accumulate. High spots are significantly easier to remove within 20 to 40 minutes of the final wipe. Once curing begins, removal becomes more difficult. After application, cure the surfaces in direct sunlight for as long as possible.
- Avoid any water contact for 4 hours after application. If water does contact the surface, gently wipe it away immediately.
- Avoid all chemicals and car wash exposure for 7 days.
Temperature and humidity affect dwell and cure time. Higher humidity accelerates the curing process. In conditions approaching 80% humidity or above, reduce dwell and wipe times accordingly.
Always wear a respirator and gloves during application. Ensure the application area is free of loose contamination before beginning.
